FAQ

Where is your office located?
Due to the demands of time, travel, and social distancing, I meet with clients almost exclusively through teleconferencing. I do provide on-site consultations in settings or circumstances where that is preferred and contracted.
What are your office hours?
I have openings throughout the day and enjoy those odd hours that we often find ourselves keeping. I can schedule across most days to accommodate sessions that meet the needs of my international clientele.
How long is a typical session?
Initially, sessions last either 50 or 75 minutes. Briefer coaching or assessment sessions may eventually be scheduled as our partnership evolves.
What do I do to get started?
Indicate via text, email, or a voice message that you wish to discuss working with me by using the contact form below. Leave your contact information. Let me know how soon you can be available for an initial phone call. I’ll take it from there.
What is the hourly fee?
I charge $150 for a standard 50-minute session. I reserve a certain number of hours each month for clients with a demonstrated need for a lower rate. These negotiations are straightforward, and I am glad to discuss my fees throughout our work together.
How do I pay?
I accept payment in advance of our sessions by credit card or funds transfer.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance as my clients do not seek psychotherapy or covered mental health conditions typical for insurance planning.
Do you accept payments from companies for employee coaching?
Yes; however, third parties must know that payments don’t constitute control of an individual’s coaching outcomes. I must receive payment before the first session.
What is a free initial phone consultation?
A 20- to 30-minute phone call is provided without charge to help clarify your needs and how we might come together for work. This service is offered in addition to disclosure forms so clients can make informed decisions about working together.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session will be a time to introduce ourselves, clarify your needs, and discuss how we can move forward to meet those needs. It may include questionnaires or homework to support the quicker engagement of your concerns and hopes.
With what age range do you work?
I work exclusively with adults. I am aware of the different developmental needs typical of persons throughout the adult life cycle but listen carefully to the specific concerns that my clients bring to my consulting room. Real wisdom accumulates across a lifetime of changes. It’s nice to understand how those changes may be routine or extraordinary.
Do you work with both men and women?
Yes, I work with both women, men, and persons who don’t identify with either convention. I recognize that cultural and systemic influences bring unique challenges to all persons. Still, specific challenges may be felt within and around any individual at home, in the workplace, or while engaging others.
Are you LGBTQIA friendly?
Absolutely!
Do you work with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions?
I enjoy discovering how each person uniquely responds to and incorporates all they have experienced in life. I especially enjoy working with persons who seek to see and strengthen those things that make them incredibly unique as caretakers of our world and its inhabitants.
